SEASHELLS SOURCED FROM LOCAL RESTAURANTS
ECO-FRIENDLY MATERIALS AND PROCESSES
Mia Larsson
She gravitated towards sea shells recycled from restaurants as her material, and sees the seashells used in her designs as a perfect part of a cycle. Nutritious food, socially connecting people during the meal that creates waste so beautiful she can transform it into jewelry that will connect people again.
“I think it is amazing that the oyster build this beautiful and hightech ceramic material around them as a protection from intruders. I find jewelry fascinating because connects people in love, faith, beliefs, subculture with places. It is a piece of art that connects you to the world,” says Mia Larsson
