CASC8
CASC8 sets out to challenge the way we look at waste and materials. Collaborating with NGO Khamir in India, whose initiative is to collect plastic waste and transform it into a useful material through the artisanal craft of handweaving, Casc8 takes this material further and develops a collection of unique and high quality bags.
Through this partnership, Casc8 not only targets the plastic waste issue but allows artisan women in the community to generate their own income from their traditional craft. Once this material has been finished the bags are then hand assembled wither in Copenhagen, with the addition of organic cotton straps or in Italy with high quality leather finishes.
