BORBALA

Borbala is an upcycling fashion collective offering unique handmade garments and open-source DIY fashion techniques. Borbala Fereencz grew up in postcomunist Romania, and started to create beauty from what was the most accessible material for her: trash. Over the years she realized she’s not alone. Thousands of people around the world have found ways to be creative even if life gave us lemo...umm...trash. Limitations can enhance creativity and lead to new levels of freedom. Borbala encourages you to join their journey through your own up-cycling and DIY fashion techniques.

Borbala garments are made with second hand polyester, sourced from local second hand stores or selection centres. And for their accessories they use recycled plastic (post consumer HDPE) collected locally and recycled with artisanal techniques. Each piece is unique and made to order made by Borbala and her small team in Hungary.
