Stem is an industry changing approach to how clothing is made, founded by textile designer Sarah Brunnhube. A novel zero-waste woven textile system that eliminates garment production waste.

A Stem garment is produced using a unique weaving, cutting and sewing technique. By connecting pattern pieces on the loom with areas loosely woven areas which are cut to completely eliminate waste, and sewn to reveal the loossly woven fringes as an aesthetic reminder and transparent view of the story of how the garment has been made.

Stem uses responsibly sourced raw materials, aiming to produce fully biodegradable garments using recycled yarn where possible, with dead-stock, second-hand, or biodegradable trimmings.
